Antler Baskets
October 18, 2008
Bob Hosea

From wall baskets to baskets for decorating a dinner table or utilitarian baskets for day-to-day use, deer, elk and moose antlers can be incorporated into the weaving to create unique and one-of-a-kind baskets. Learn how to make beautiful baskets incorporating deer antlers. Students will see different styles of baskets, learn many of the techniques for incorporating deer antlers and come away with an Appalachian-style antler egg basket or a wall hanging basket. Antlers and basketry materials will be provided. Students need to bring a stout pair of scissors and an old kitchen towel. Wear casual clothing.

Date:
Saturday, October 18, 2008 - 10am to 4pm

Fee: $75 (materials included)
